$100,000 Dollar Drawing Lesson 1, part 2

At work yestarday (I have serious amounts of down time, why I love my job) I compared my previous attempts at lesson 1 to preston blair's by eye and noted the differences. I then redrew the lesson correcting for my previous mistakes. I think these are much better than the first time. I still need to go use photoshop, to check even more closely for mistakes.

$100,000 Dollar Animation Lesson 1, Part 1

With major production of my independent short, Cereal Addicts Anonymous, In less than a month (I hope). I have decided to brush up on my cartoon drawing skills. I went through these drawing lessons six months and drew a few drawings from the lessons when I had a chance. It improved my cartooning skill alot. This time I am going to draw every drawing in the book, go back and correct all my mistakes.

Time for some serious art studies. These are copied from the book Cyclopedia Anatomicae. A great reference for artists or coffee table book for the morbid.

These cartoons are getting dumber by the day

Sometimes I am proud of my movements. There like my little stinky children and it breaks my heart to flush them. I know earlier I said I would post something intelligent, guess thats out the window.

Good for a cheap laugh

Ummm.... I don't really know what to say about this one. I did a little experimenting with using thick and thin lines. Something I clearly need to work on.

Just a dirty cartoon for you

Somebody must have done this before. If I ripped you off I apologize, it was accidental. The idea just popped into my head and I thought it was kinda funny. Maybe this will be the first in a series of cartoons of animals humping objects they look like. I will post something more intelligent later.

Cruelty to animals

Up 'til now I have not used this blog to harp on socail issues, but this one I could simply not ignore. All over the world people are dressing their pets in humiliating clothing. These poor animals do not deserve this. Why doesn't PETA step up and do something about it instead of printing those flyers telling me not to eat the meat I love so much.
I have drawn some cartoons to raise awareness of this issue and hopefully dispell the myth that this is "cute."When I was drawing this I thought of all kinds of captions for what the dog is thinking, such as "I hate you", "Just give me some chocolate now and get it over with", or "Even the cat is laughing at me. That smug bastard will het his." But I think the look on his face says it all.
