Citypaper is running a comic issue, calling for submissions. Here are my submissions in color and greyscale. As you can tell I really need to work on my photoshop skills.

Good job on the anatomy studies too. But make sure you look at these things and simplify them. I doubt you're ever going to use the bicep femoris in a drawing, but generally knowing where muscles originate and hook up is very good. Jim Smith taught me the importance of simplification. If you get stuck, reference him!
You make a great point about simplification. When I doodle, I often use the knowledge I gained from these exercises, and simplify it by drawing really quickly.
