One year of daily drawings.

Last Year, my New Year's resolution was to do a one hour drawing exercise every day. The exercise is to do one drawing per minute of whatever I can think of. I missed a few days here and there, but I still feel like my resolution was a success. Through the coarse of the year I filled six sketch books. Here is the year in review. Two pages of drawings per month so you can see my progress.

$100,000 Drawing Course - Lesson 10 - The Arucuan

ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive: Meta: The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course- Lesson 10
I love the design of the Aracuan. I had never heard of him before, so I looked him up. Here he is In Disney's Blame it on the Samba.

Great musical timing in this cartoon. I want to be able to do that. The colors are lively, exciting, and expressive. The cartoon is alive and really grabs your attention. The Aracuan's poses are very fluid. Anyway, the drawings.

$100,000 Drawing Course - Lesson 10 - Donald and Daisy Duck

ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive: Meta: The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course- Lesson 10
This one took a while. So here it is. Two Donald and Daisy Duck Model sheets. I noticed that Disney character's dates always looks exactly like them except with a dress and eyelashes. Daisy Duck could easily just be Donald in drag. anyway here are the drawings. The red lines are my first attempt. the Blue lines are the corrected version.

Happy New Year!

$100,000 Drawing Coures - Lesson 10 - Goofy

ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive: Meta: The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course- Lesson 10
Ever notice goofy looks kinda like a homeless guy. I'd give him change.

More too come.

Daffy Duck Model Sheet

This Daffy Duck Model sheet is my favorite model sheet I have studied. I got the idea from Mitch Leeuwe, a very talented student of classic cartoons.
