I'm sure if you diligently studied the book it would improve your drawing ability, however for you I would Recommend Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. Sounds like all those studies have been doing you a whole lot of good (I wish I could have done more studies last year, but school was taking up so much of my time).
